Tashkent International Cinema Forum “Golden Guepard” is a competition-based event featuring an international jury comprising high-profile professionals. The contest program presents full-length films, short films and animated films.
The cinema forum has incorporated the guepard as its symbol. It refers to the world’s fastest running animal, the cheetah, which reflects the cinema forum organizers’ aspiration to dynamically join the ranks of leading cinema events. The guepard has deep historical roots in Uzbek culture. It was featured in the coat of arms of the House of Rulers of Chach, an ancient name for Tashkent. Golden Guepard statuettes are awarded to the best film directors, scriptwriters, actors and other cinema professionals in the following categories:
“Best Full-length Film”
