Language Centre «Kelajak Lingvo»

Established in April 2008

Language center «Kelajak Lingvo» was founded by Youth Initiative Center (YIC) activists with the main purpose to give a chance to creative young people to improve their knowledge and develop oral and writing communication skills, which are necessary not only for translators and linguists, but also for people involving in any other field.

Directions

Language center «Kelajak Lingvo» works on two directions: translational and educational.

The purpose of translational direction is aimed to form and to run translators groups including YIC activists with the support of foreign languages teachers, international cultural centers, representatives of embassies and MFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Educational direction consists of special courses for center employees to improve professional skills, mostly with native speakers. Also this direction develops and introduces different exchange programs for students, professors and interpreters.

Center regularly conducts language tournaments, contests and other creative events for improvement of practical knowledge and communication skills.

Partners of «Kelajak Lingvo» are Victor Hugo French Cultural Center, Goethe Institute, British Council, Japanese Embassy, Embassy of the Republic of Egypt, Chinese Cultural Center, Uzbekista-Japan Center, JICA.
