“We have participated in this tournament since it was set up. And each year we try to think of something unusual and original… This year, for example, we decided to demonstrate numbers dedicated to national traditions. They are titled “Uzbekistan” and “Colors of Life”. The second one features our youngest athletes. I should say that although the tournament doesn`t have a winner pedestal we prepare for the tournament very seriously. This is a unique opportunity to show our friends, parents and relatives our achievements in this beautiful sport.”

The tournament program consisted of colorful solo and group performances through which the little gymnasts demonstrated commendable choreographic skills, artistic abilities and discipline. The Tashkent tournament brought together young athletes from all parts of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Grace, beauty, elegance and emotions shown by the young talents aged 4-17 made for a spectacular show.

The decorations on the arena changed within a matter of seconds, transforming into various sceneries from mysterious Samarkand and the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan, to incredible India, a dance floor and a Swan Lake. The objects the little talents used were as multifarious: balls, hula-hoops, ribbons, umbrellas, fans, ninepins and hats.

“Tournament “Baby” is a big holiday for us as it is so colorful and unusual. This is not a regular sporting event; the participants perform in colorful costumes, not in ordinary sporting bathing suits as is convention in calisthenics. It is remarkable that the numbers contain elements of dance and acrobatics. In this year`s tournament we present two numbers: Kankan and Blooming Cherry. We tried to make our performances colorful and original and, most importantly, to create an image in sync with the music background.”
