The sporting competition has become the final event and a colourful festivity for young gymnasts aged 6-12, their coaches, parents and all the fans of this graceful sport. The participants` performances were evaluated by leading coaches of the country such as the chief trainer of the national team of Uzbekistan, international category judge Zurayeva Lyudmila, the coach of Forum Junior Sport, and first-category judge Yekaterina Babina. Diplomas were awarded to 18 best gymnasts (3 places in each age category) while the rest of the participants were given prizes and presents from the Fund Forum.

Alsu Yagofarova, 8 years old, Forum Junior Sport children`s complex:

-I`ve been engaged in gymnastics for 5 years. When I was small, I was very noisy and rowdy, and my parents decided to put me into calisthenics. I love it because it is the most beautiful sport and it helps me keep fit. When I grow up I will be in perfect shape and I`ll be able to wear high heels. The part I have performed which is called “American” I don`t use any objects. This part has helped me win a gold medal in calisthenics competitions in Novosibirsk and first places in tournaments in Uzbekistan.

Apart from the competitions, the event included performances by the trainees of the Forum Junior Sport who have earned a number of prestigious awards at an international callisthenics tournament held in Novosibirsk in November this year and at the 2nd Intercontinental Callisthenics Championship held in June in the German city of Bochum.

The sports complex helps children to lead a healthy lifestyle, tracks their success and supports promising athletes. It offers a full range of conditions conducive to success in the realm of sports. Its trainees have clinched prizes at various competitions and sports tournaments both at home and abroad. Presently, around 200 children are being trained by professional coaches in gymnastics, woo-shoo and other sports.

Lola Zakirova, 6 years old, Forum Junior Sport children`s complex:

- I have been doing sports for 2 years now. I like to stretch and to do a split. Recently, we participated in competitions in Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg where we earned the first place. My mother is a former calisthenics athlete and now she trains kids in two schools: № 18 and 166. When I grow up, I want to become a calisthenics coach.

It is also noted for regularly organized competitions and other sporting events. Specifically, in November 2005, Forum Junior Sport complex organized a children`s open tournament in callisthenics, Golden Autumn. The Snowflake callisthenics tournament has been organized annually since December 2006. In April 2007, the Fund Forum set up a Champion Forum account which regularly allocates grants to support young and promising athletes. As many as 200 athletes have been awarded 57 million UZS worth of grants.
