Novosibirsk Museum of Arts is housing a photo exhibition titled “On the Sunny Side” commemorating the 25th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence. The organizers of the exhibition are the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk (Russia), the Fund Forum Representative Office and Jahon News Agency.
The exhibition features photos by leading Siberian photographers inspired by beautiful Uzbek cities. The artworks reflect scenery, architectural monuments, applied art, national traditions and national cuisine.
The photo exhibition was inaugurated by the deputy minister of culture of Novosibirsk oblast, I. Reshetnikov, who noted in his speech that Uzbekistan’s ancient culture deserves special attention and that the exhibition will raise Siberian people’s awareness of Uzbekistan and its culture.
The opening ceremony for the exhibition on August 25 was attended by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the business community, public organizations, regional Duma, representatives of the media as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Novosibirsk.
The exhibition will run through September 5 and is set to be showcased in the hall of the international terminal of Tolmachevo airport in Novosibirsk city.
