Upcoming Tashkent Film Festival presented in Moscow

The Fund Forum on June 27-29 held a presentation on the upcoming Tashkent International Festival of Contemporary Cinema set to take place October 19-25. The presentation took place as part of the 33rd Moscow International Film Festival at Moscow Business Square at Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel.

According to international practice, major international film festivals are accompanied by business film forums as can be exemplified by Cannes Film Festival - Producers Network, Berlinale Co-production Market. For a second year in a row this format has been practiced by cinema professionals at Moscow International Film Festival and has drawn flocks of participants.

Moscow Business Square is an arena for developing international cooperation in cinematography through providing producers, distributors and key players in film industry with opportunities to hold business meetings, roundtables, project presentations related to film production. Moscow Business Square is a meeting point for cinema professionals: leasing producers from across the world, famous distributing companies, film studios, film foundations and government officials.

The presentation stand for Tashkent International Festival of Contemporary Cinema was visited by representatives of Barefoot Films, Bavaria Film, Beta Cinema, Egoli Tossell, Razor Film Produktion (Germany), Galatée Films, Kinovista, Memento Films International, Rezo Films, TF1 (France), K5 International (UK), Alta Films, Latido Films (Spain), Cinecittà Luce, Fandango (Italy), Cinemavault (Canada), Fortissimo Films (Netherlands), Lakeshore Entertainment Group (USA), Eurimages, Media, Mitteldeutsche Medienforderrung, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Israel Film Fund, Film I Vast, Catalan Films & TV and others.

Moreover, as much interest in Uzbekistan’s stand was shown by Tandem Production, Producers Network, Connecting Cottbus, Sofia meetings, Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum, EAVE, Asian Project Market, NFDC (National Film Development Corporation, India), RioMarket, Baltic Event and Screen International.

Moscow Business Square was also attended by a delegation of cinema professionals from Italy and cinematography agencies and national centers of CIS countries, Baltic States and Georgia.
