The world in the eyes of the youth

The Youth Creativity Palace welcomes the public to attend “The World in the Eyes of the Youth”, an exhibition of works by young artists who present their vision of a world without war and violence. The art show has been organized by the Fund Forum, the Women’s Council, Kelajak ovozi YIC and the UN Office in Uzbekistan.

The artworks on display at the exhibition convey a world of peace and comfort while honoring the past and expressing hope for a better future. The photos are of children and elderly people, national holidays, family feasts, views of cities and scenery in Uzbekistan. The interesting topics, unusual angles of view, candid moments from people’s lives captured on film… all these are imbued with ideas of peace, tranquility and goodwill.

“This exhibition is an opportunity for the young artists to discover their potential and show us their vision of the world as they see it. It’s amazing to see the youth in Uzbekistan speak out against violence. I often say that children help achieve peace and encourage us to work towards a better future.”

“The photos we can see here today are dedicated to a crucial issue. It’s interesting to see how young people and children view the world. I always say children have a simpler vision of the world and they help us adults to understand peace and teach us a lot. Peace is a priceless value which we must all safeguard.”

World Peace Day celebrations in Uzbekistan and throughout the world have been given the goal of disseminating the ideals of peace and non-violence. Events of this kind are crucial to bringing up a young generation that would draw the line at war and violence and avoid making the mistakes of the past.
