Young talented Uzbek pianist Lola Rasulova, who has netted numerous awards and drawn clamorous applause locally and internationally, will play a recital on June 30 at 7 pm at Uspensky Music School in Tashkent. Organized by the Fund Forum and Uspensky Music School, the concert will be an opportunity to enjoy Rasulova’s rendition of classical pieces.
Rasulova will present her own rendition of works by music luminaries such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Scarlatti. The upcoming concert will be another in the string of performances the talented pianist has played in Tashkent. In addition to solo performances, she has also played with chamber orchestras.
Rasulova’s first overseas appearance took place in 1997 in Paris. In 1998, she emerged as a winner at two international contests, in Stresa (Italy) and Geneva (Switzerland), where she demonstrated high professionalism. In 2003, she played with a famous orchestra under the baton of conductor Yuriy Bashmet at Alisher Navoi Theater in Tashkent. The same year she was awarded Nihol National Prize and won a prize at Istiqlol music contest in Tashkent.
The young pianist also drew accolades during performances at cultural events and programs at Geneva Art Club, Crescendo Music School in Losanne, Charles Gounod Museum and other venues.
A native of Tashkent and a graduate of Uspensky Music School, Rasulova continued her education at Gnessin Music School in Moscow. She is currently honing her skills at Geneva Conservatory and has benefitted significantly from master classes at the Kayaleh Violin Academy. Her educational portfolio also includes an internship in chamber music at Rowan University in New Jersey (USA). Currently, Rasulova works to train young talents in Geneva.
