Summer Training Camp: call for applications

The Fund Forum and Kelajak ovozi (Voice of the future) Youth Initiative Center are pleased to announce a Summer Training Camp which will be held from July 7 to July 21 in Kashkadarya Region. Completed applications must be submitted to a Kelajak ovozi YIC office in person or emailed to kelajakovozi.uz@gmail.com no later than June 10.

Each year the most active members of Kelajak ovozi YIC participate in training sessions led by leading local and international professionals during a summer training camp organized by the Fund Forum and the YIC in collaboration with the British Council in Uzbekistan and the UNFPA. The training camp offers educational, sporting and cultural events and is a great opportunity to make new friends, gain skills and discover talents.

Among the partners that have supported the youth project are international organizations such as the British Council, UNFPA, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), UN Volunteers, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Korean Internet Volunteers Program, DVV International, Nagoya University (Japan), Westminster International University in Tashkent and the Management Development Institute of Singapore among others.

This year the summer training camp is open not only to YIC members, but also to institute and university students who have shown an interest in the Fund Forum’s and the YIC’s activities.

Those interested in participating in the summer camp must fill out an application form in Russian or Uzbek and take a medical checkup (form 086).

Applications must be submitted to Kelajak ovozi YIC offices or emailed to kelajakovozi.uz@gmail.com no later than June 10 2011.

A selection panel will consider the applications and invite the most promising applicants for an interview.
