The winners of the Fourth “Navqiron O`zbekiston - 2010” National Festival of Traditional and Contemporary Art were awarded valuable gifts, diplomas and statuettes on August 23 at the Youth Creativity Palace.
The Festival exposure opened on August 16 presented more than 1000 works by over than 300 young artists and masters of applied art to the audience and competent jury.
According to the following main categories the Fund Forum awarded TV Sets to the winners of “Navqiron O`zbekiston - 2010” National Festival of Traditional and Contemporary Art:
"Modernity in Art" - The “Flight Testing” project, curator Saodat Mirdavidova (Tashkent)
"Original Creative” - Nigora Sharafhodzhaeva - "The Bridge" installation (Tashkent)
"Preservation of “School`s” Traditions" - Mirzagolib Akramov - Ceramics (Rishton)
"Preservation and Development of Traditional Art Forms" - Dilnoza Narzullaeva - embroidery (Bukhara region)
"The Best Innovative Project" - Jan Altynbaev - architectural project (Tashkent)
"The Best Conceptual Project" - project «Ab OVO», curator Tatiana Fadeeva (Tashkent)
"Dialogue of Cultures in Art" - Gairat Ibragimov - painting, video art (Tashkent)
"The Best Design Project” - Kamola Ikramova - Fashion Design (Tashkent)
In early September two master-classes are to be held: ceramics by Alisher and Akbar Rakhimovs, and the history and theory of art by the prof. Akbar Khakimov, academician of the Uzbekistan Arts Academy, Doctor of Arts, as well as the presentation of the author's project by young miniaturists of Uzbekistan. Dates of these events will be announced in the near future.
The exhibition will last until September 16, 2010. Attendance at the exhibition is free.
