"Kelajak ovozi": Qualifying Rounds

Qualifying rounds of one of the most popular youth projects - the «Kelajak ovozi» competition is to start on May 12 across the country.

Annual competition “Kelajak ovozi” (Voice of the Future) is one of the most large-scale youth projects in Uzbekistan.

It is held among participants, aged from 15 till 25 years in four nominations:

• Architecture and design;
• Information technologies, rationalization proposals and technical projects;
• Traditional, fine and applied arts;
• Literature and publicism.

The competition was organized firstly in 2005 and gained its popularity among youth from all over the country. If in the first year the organizing committee received about 3000 applications, in 2006 they exceeded 10.000. In 2007 more than 32 thousand applicants took part in the competition, in 2008 this number reached 54.000. Winners of the contest get assistance in implementation of the proposed projects and all-round support by the organizers.

Support to initiatives of studentship young professionals has received the logical continuation in the establishing of the “Kelajak ovozi” Youth Initiatives Center (YIC) which unites young and purposeful people, creates conditions for realization of their interesting ideas and projects.
