Of equal interest is the gallery of pictures that feature original and modern characters. For instance, it shows residents of modern-day Uzbekistan clad in traditional attire amidst the architectural entourage imbued with a splendor of the past.

Of course, Uzbekistan cannot be described in a few sentences and cannot be reflected even in hundreds of pictures. Most importantly, this album bolsters the conviction that Uzbekistan is a big mystery which continues to challenge inquisitive minds. And this means that, following the photographs who have shared with us their impressions in this photo album, a lot more artists will have a lot more to say of this modern country with a unique ancient history.

Presently, a considerable amount of work is under way to research the region’s culture starting from antiquity. The Fund Forum’s phased work in this area includes scientific research and publication of the research findings in the form of albums, books and catalogs in various languages. A large team of experts, scientists and art professionals is involved in each project. These publications make up the Fund Forum’s chain of scientific and educational program to study and advocate the intangible legacy of the oriental nations.
