Forum Junior Sport Complex opens its doors to everyone

August 25 marks the fifth anniversary of Forum Junior Sport, a children’s sporting complex, which was established by the Fund Forum in 2005. The children attending the complex are trained by leading coaches in calisthenics and woo-shoo. Over these five years, many of the trainees have emerged as champions of Uzbekistan and winners of international competitions and world championships.

Forum Junior Sport is one of the best equipped children’s complexes in the capital Tashkent. It offers training in calisthenics and woo-shoo. Each child who attends the complex feels more confident as he or she not only masters these sports but also makes new friends. Many of these children have grown into true champions. Among them are Ruslan Ergashev, fourth place in Asia and third place in woo-shoo world championship; Dmitriy Lee, woo-shoo champion of Uzbekistan; Kamila Tukhtayeva, an international-class master of sports in calisthenics and currently a coach at Forum Junior Sport, among others.

For parents and their children Forum Junior Sport is a good alternative to sporting clubs in schools as the Complex offers a convenient schedule. Moreover, the Complex boasts one of the best equipped gymnasiums in Tashkent as well as a team of professional coaches who are masters of sports: four in calisthenics and one in woo-shoo. Woo-shoo is a sport for both boys and girls.

Presently, over 200 children, starting from age four, are being trained at the Complex. Parents wishing to send their child to Forum Junior Sport must bring him or her to the Complex where trainers will examine the child’s skills and physical endurance.

It is noteworthy that the Complex also trains athletes for the National Woo-shoo Team of Uzbekistan. The Complex also organizes major events aimed at supporting and developing children’s sports in Uzbekistan.
