Fund Forum awarded certificate for supporting children’s art

The Complex for Education, Healthcare and Social Protection of Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Abdulla Oripov, honored the Fund Forum with a Certificate “For Discovering Young Talents” through its Yangi avlod (New Generation) Project.

The annual “Yangi avlod” Children’s Art Festival is a major project overseen by the Fund Forum and has been given the goal of discovering and supporting young talented children in Uzbekistan. In the years since the festival was set up, as many as 98,000 children have participated in it. The project has been highly rated by art professionals and art experts in many countries. Also, Children's Art Centers have been launched in Tashkent and Samarkand, where children have an opportunity to learn skills in various types of art free of charge, which is an upshot of the project.

The Fund Forum also works to support children’s art teams. Among them is the Youth Symphonic Orchestra at Uspensky Music School. Through the Fund Forum’s support, the Orchestra has participated in international contests, festivals and concerts.

“Bolajonlar-shirintoylar” (Sweet kids) Children’s Fashion Festival, which is organized annually in spring in conjunction with partners, is an opportunity for little hipsters to parade clothes created by Uzbek fashion designers.

Another colorful children’s event is “In the Name of Life” Charity Ball organized every summer by the Women’s Council, which seeks to raise funds for orphanages.

In sum, tens of thousands of children across Uzbekistan are involved in the Fund Forum’s activities in supporting children’s creative endeavors. The bulk of these projects have a charitable character and are aimed at helping discover and support young talents.
