Call for applications from regional NGOs

Fund Forum and Social Initiatives Support Fund announce the start of the Second Round of Grant Program to Support Socially Significant Projects of Regional NGOs of Uzbekistan. Deadline: September 15, 2011.

The Program seeks to discover social projects initiated by regional NGOs in Uzbekistan and provide financial support in implementing them. The Program is open to registered regional NGOs working in healthcare, education, infrastructure, ecology, conservation and development of national cultural values and traditions and other areas of social significance.

The application must include the following sections:

• brief information on those in charge of the project and the organization`s experience in running similar projects;
• accurate description of the social problem the project seeks to address;
• project goals;
• project`s working plans and specific dates of implementation;
• the results the project is expected to produce;
• detailed budget, including applicant`s contribution (up to 50% of the total cost of the project);
• information on partners that will contribute to project implementation, including a description of their roles (priority is given to projects that have partners among local authorities, public organizations and business entities).

Applicants must also attach documents attesting to the organization`s registration as well as support letters from at least 2 partners supporting the project.

The amount of grant to be provided is 1mln to 3 mln soums. The project implementation period is 6 months.
