On December 10, classical opera fans in Tashkent will have the opportunity to attend a concert to be performed by a group of artists from Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater and St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky Theater. The concert will take place at Turkiston Palace and will feature the Symphonic Orchestra of the Music and Theater Studio of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. Up to 50% of tickets will be distributed free of charge among young talented people in Uzbekistan.
The concert program includes arias by world-famous arias by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, Borodin, Verdi, Bizet, Offenbach, Donizetti, Gounod, Puccini and Rossini.
The solo artists who will perform the concert include baritone Edem Umerov of Mariinsky Theater, soprano Anna Aglatova of Bolshoi Theater, tenor Dmitriy Voropayev of the Academy of Young Singers at Mariinsky Theater and mezzo-soprano Yekaterina Sergeyeva of the Academy of Young Singers at Mariinsky Theater. The concert will be performed under the baton of Russian conductor and head of the Russian Horn Orchestra, Sergei Polyanichko.
The concert is an opportunity to get a taste of classical music art offered by two of Russia’s prominent opera houses, the Bolshoi Theater and the Mariinsky Theater. World-famous arias, live singing by foremost Russian opera singers and stunning decorations are certain to ensure memorable experience on the eve of the New Year.
The concert organizers include the Fund Forum and the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
