The Fund Forum officials met with the President of Avicenna France Association, Marc Bonnel, today to discuss issues related to cooperation in traditional medicine. The meeting took place as part of the recently held 6th Scientific and Practical Conference “Avicenna Readings” in Bukhara.
During the meeting at the Fund Forum Bonnel emphasized the implications of Avicenna’s medical legacy for the development of modern medicine as well as his teachings on prevention, diagnostics and treatment of diseases and the need to apply them in modern medical practice. The goal of the meeting was to discuss further cooperation between Uzbek and French specialists in traditional medicine.
The meeting participants also reiterated the importance of the annual international exhibition of traditional medicine and beauty care “Health & Beauty” organized by the Fund Forum, Avicenna International Association of Traditional Medicine and the Women’s Council with support from the Ministry of Public Health of Uzbekistan.

I would like to express my admiration for the amount of work carried out by the Fund in various areas. This makes me happy as I highly value Uzbekistan’s cultural legacy. I always say that any cooperation should be led based the cultural legacy of the countries involved. In this case, Uzbekistan is a wonderful example of rich culture. The Fund Forum is famous for its many projects to support culture, education, medicine that are based on historical legacy. Uzbekistan boasts a centuries-old legacy left by this great luminary of science and I would be happy to see collaboration with the Fund Forum. We already have several collaborative project ideas and I hope they will be successful and very useful to society.”
